Uploading an animated emoji requires discord Nitro. You’ll want a gif for the emoji and it's recommended to stay below 128px128p.

  1. First head on over to the settings section in your server. 

  2. Click the emoji’s section. You’ll now see the button to upload your gif.

  3. Now, just upload the gif you’d like to have as your animated emoji. 

Using animated emojis without Nitro​

Head over to the website https://imageclipboard.com/. This is a site where you can add animated emojis from Discord for use later.

You can try copying a link from one of the Emoji's on the site and pasting it into a discord chat. See, it works!

To add your own, simply copy the link from an animated emoji on Discord which you like and paste it into the website. The website also allows for mass deletion in settings and importing and exporting of contents.
